Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz believes his
team are determined to prove themselves to be the best in the world.
A goal from Danny and two from Hugo Almeida
gave Portugal a 3-0 win over Mozambique yesterday, on the day they were
dealt a blow when winger Nani was ruled out of the tournament because of
damage to his collar bone.
"It was good
to play a game with intensity and to see that all players are well
prepared and determined to represent the best side in the world,"
Queiroz said on fpf.pt. "It was a beautiful game with goals, and
important for all the players who might play."

Attacking flair buoys Martino
Paraguay coach Gerardo Martino believes his
team possess a stronger attack than ever before as they gear up for
their FIFA World Cup™ opener against defending champions Italy.
The South Americans begin their quest to reach
the last 16 for the third time in four tournaments with a clash against Gli
Azzurri in Cape Town on Monday, before then facing Slovakia and
New Zealand in their final two Group F matches.
Martino claims his side are better equipped going forward than
they have ever been in the past. "It's true. Now there is so much
variety in the attack of Paraguay, who have never had this amount," he
told Fox Sports.
"In the past it
has been attacking, but not like now - alongside (Nelson) Haedo
[Valdez] and [Roque] Santa Cruz there is Oscar Cardozo and Lucas
Barrios, although unfortunately not Salvador Cabanas."
He added: "This is a team that is more complete
than Paraguay teams of the past. Hopefully we can make it the best
World Cup for Paraguay."
