Job Description

Be a strategic thinker in terms of client needs by understanding their business and key risks. Providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis.
Participate in development of proposals.
Develop and sustain relationship with clients and deliver added value.
Supervise and monitor auditing staff.
Coach, train and develop auditing staff to upgrade their knowledge.
Perform other office activities, as required.
Requirements
A professionally qualified accountant with CPA or ACCA
At least 5 years of external audit experience
A team player with strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills including leading teams of at least 4 team members
Experience in provision of non-audit assignments

POSITION: IT Assistant

Major duties and responsibilities:
Assisting daily IT operations, including helpdesk support, Networking, Software installation and development.
•Keep files for office and record helpdesk calls. Coordinate incoming calls with appropriate technical resources to resolve helpdesk related issues for the head office and all regional office branches.
•Manage inventory, including forwarding requests from various departments.

Qualification, skills and experience requirements:
A minimum of Advance Diploma in Information Technology or related filed(s). Minimum of two (2) years experience in the field (IT / MIS).
Must have sounding experience in Basic hardware troubleshooting, Managing Networks, Design and Maintain Databases and code in PHP.
Fluent in both English and Swahili languages.

Tumaini University Makumira has received a grant from the European Development Fund for the project "Traditional Music and Dance Preservation and Promotion in Northern Tanzania" and now invites applications for the position of Project Manager.
Requirements:
1) Masters Degree or equivalent in one of the following areas: Project Management, Music/Arts, or Tourism.
2) Open to persons from any country, but the successful candidate will document work experience of at least 5 years in both Tanzania and in Europe or America. Expert knowledge of both cultures and
languages (English/Kiswahili) is required. .
3) Demonstrated success in collaborative cross-cultural grant projects needed. Work experience with NGOs and educational institutions is preferred. Experience as a producer, manager, director and/or performer for arts projects is essential. Because of the need for multiple skills over specific and varied areas, this person will be considered an expert.
Primary job responsibilities:
Putting the ideas expressed in the grant proposal into action, including:
1) Collaborating with the Tumaini University Makumira office of Administration for oversight of the Project.
2) Ensuring compliance with the terms of the grant contract with respect to services, goods, and works, including hiring of local and international staff. Overseeing preparation of required reports according to the appointed schedule.
3) Coordinating work with the approved local partners (Kilimanjaro Film Institute and Alliance Franco-Tanzanienne of Arusha).
4) Executing activities of the project in accordance with the approved budget
Main aspects of the grant project include:
1) Creating an Archive Centre offering training and making documentation of traditional music from Maasai, Meru, and Chagga traditions
2) Creating a Traditional Dance Centre and professional performance ensemble that will be promoted for local and international tourism
3) Developing school outreach programmes, 'an instrument workshop and short-term guest artists-in-residency programmes, and a professional training programme (non-degree) for traditional dancers and artists.
4) Implementing construction of a music village to house all of the activities

URC is therefore seeking an experienced, qualified and motivated individual for the position of Driver Mechanic to be based in either Mwanza/Shinyanga .
OBJECTIVES
To provide driving service and maintenance of the URC- Tibu Homa fleet of vehicles ensuring cost effectiveness in use and maintenance
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
1 Driving assigned vehicles while ferrying staff or assets on official work
2. Maintaining cleanliness of assigned vehicles
3. Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records in the vehicle work ticket
4. Safeguarding the vehicle and all of its contents in his/her custody.
5. Ensuring that the assigned vehicle is well serviced and in good mechanical order
6. Maintain and monitor expenditure for the running costs and suggest cost controls and reallocations
7. Prepare monthly report for recharges for vehicle usage, maintenance costs, fuel usage and recoveries as utilized and
accounted for
8. Provide overall supervision for vehicles maintenance operations ensuring that the workshop float is properly utilized and
accounted for.
9. Develop and manage optimal schedules of daily usage of available URC vehicles
10. Monitor actual usage as reflected on the vehicle work tickets and monthly reports
11. Provide advice and ensure compliance by users of URC vehicles with regards to policies and pmcedures on use and management of URC vehicles
12. Maintain up to date insurances and licenses for all the URC vehicles and provide necessary reporting and claim process coordination in case of accident
Required qualifications:
The job demands ability to drive multi-passenger vehicle safely and appropriately and therefore requires the following attributes:--
1. Have completed secondary school education (Form 4 or Form 6)
2. Ability to read and interpret road signs, and communicate effectively orally and in writing in English and Kiswahili.
3.- Holder of vehicle driving and mechanic training certificate from VETA or National Institute of Transport
4. Should possess a valid driving license.
5. 6 years working experience preferably working for development organizations.

Required qualifications:

•Atleast 3-5 years of experience working on agriculture and agribusiness/ private sector development projects
•A minimum of 2 years’ experience using the M4P/market development approach
•Agricultural Value Chain development experience 
•An understanding of Agricultural extension approaches for market development
•Ability to communicate at all levels of the value chain from small farmers to executive level discussions with key decision makers in the private and public sectors
•Excellent communication skills; and relationship management
•Fluency in English (both written and oral) is essential; and fluency in local languages highly desirable
