Swizz Beatz's financial woes are spiraling - the music producer has been hit with a demand for allegedly unpaid taxes amounting to more than $650,000.
A $652,727 lien for delinquent taxes in 2008 was filed against the star in New York on June 3rd. Swiss Beatz, real name Kasseem Dean, has previously seen a string of liens filed against him and his ex-wife, Mashonda, in New York, Georgia and California - and their debts are said to stand at around $2.2 million.
However, he is determined to clear the debt and is negotiating a financial plan with officials to pay back the money. A lawyer for the rapper tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "We have been discussing the issue with the government for years and are currently negotiating an amicable resolution of the dispute."
The filing of the most recent legal papers came just days after Swizz Beatz, who is expecting a baby with fiancée Alicia Keys later this year, settled a dispute with Mashonda over missing child support payments. He paid out $334,000 in back alimony and child support responsibilities for the former couple's three-year-old son, Kasseem Jr., in May.
