Shooter Abdulla Sultan Al Aryani has clinched the UAE's first gold medal at the London 2012 Paralympics on Tuesday.
Al Aryani scored 694.8 points to win the R6-50m prone rifle shooting event at Royal Artillery Barracks in London.
Spain's Juan Antonio Saavedra Reinaldo took silver, just 0.2 points shy of the winning score, while British shooter Matthew Skelhon won bronze.
It is the first gold the UAE has won overall during the London 2012 games.
