World Cup 2010: Brazil Star Kaka Vows To Improve As The Tournament Goes On

Real Madrid man ready to shine…

Ricardo Kakà - Brazil
Brazil midfielder Kaka has warned his World Cup rivals that he will get better and better as the tournament goes on. “I felt very good today,” Kaka told Globo after capping Brazil’s 5-1 victory over Tanzania with a goal of his own this afternoon. “All that remains for me is to go that extra bit further. I’m looking forward to getting back to the joy of playing regularly. I'll certainly grow in this competition, that is what excites me the most.” The Real Madrid playmaker missed the majority of the climax to what was ultimately a disappointing season for los Blancos with a groin injury and his fitness has been Brazil’s only real concern going into the competition. “It gave us great confidence to see him play the entire game,” said coach Dunga. “Kaka is improving gradually. We have to hold him back because at times he wants to train morning, noon and night.” Who has the best chance of winning the World Cup? Check out Castrol Football's 2010 FIFA World Cup Winne

Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo Refuses To Rule Out Diego Forlan Sale
Uruguayan may be on his way...

Diego Forlan, Atletico de Madrid, Fulham
Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has refused to rule out selling Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan if a big money bid were to be made for the 31-year-old.
Recent reports have suggested that Tottenham Hostspur were preparing a big money bid for Forlan, who spearheaded Atleti's Europa League success last season by scoring all their goals in the semi-final and final of the competition. Ligue 1 side Marseille are also reported to be interested in the South American.
"To my knowledge there's been no bid for [Kun] Aguero or [Diego] Forlan, I cannot say if it I would sell for €25 million because we have not heard the offer. The negotiations would be normal," Cerezo was quoted as saying by AS before adding that the club's hierarchy have met to discuss possible signings.
"There will be a few signings. At the end of the season the technical secretary and the coach met with us to find the positions we need to strengthen." .
