One person was early today injured as residents of Kipsongo slums in Kitale clashed with a group of armed men, hired to evict them.
The residents said over 50 men armed with machetes destroyed more than 30 houses before police moved in. The 5.30am raid left more than 500 people homeless and property of unknown value destroyed.
The residents said the goons were hired by a private developer who is claiming to be owning the disputed piece of land
