Whitney Houston Dies At 48 On Eve Of Grammys

Six-time Grammy Award winning singer Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48, the singer's publicist, Kristen Foster confirmed on Saturday.
Houston died at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, according to TMZ.com, but her cause of death is unknown as of press time.
The shocking news of Houston's death comes on the eve of music's biggest night - the Grammy Awards, which airs Sunday, Feb. 12 at 8pm on CBS.
The singer, who has sold over 200 million albums worldwide, had been working on a career comeback recently following years of battling drug issues and personal demons.
Houston's debut album, "Whitney", is the first album by a female artist to debut at #1 on the Billboard Charts; and in addition to a multitued of Grammy nominations she has also been the recipient of 22 American Music Awards (AMAs) and 30 Billboarc Music Awards. She also received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Performance In A Variety Or Music Program for her performance at the 1986 Grammys.
According to Wikipedia.com, the singer is the only artist to have won at least one Grammy, Emmy, MTV VMA (Video Music Award), MTV Movie Award, People's Choice Award and Billboard Music Award.
Whitney married singer Bobby Brown in 1992, but the couple divorced in 2007. The had one child together, Bobbi Kristina.
