Sixteen year old Sanni M. Mairura who’s lived in Texas for probably his whole life has a Tanzanian mom and a Kenyan dad can even speak some Kiswahili.
He made it to the auditions and even managed to impress Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj both judges on the show, making it past stage one singing Michael Jackson’s ‘Who’s Loving You’. Check it out;
Sanni is guaranteed to make a big name for himself in Africa even if he doesn’t win that –which he hope he does.
Wednesday night’s episode of American Idol had the judges traveling to San Antonio, TX and Long Beach, CA to try and discover the next Kelly Clarkson or Phillip Phillips. Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey managed to play nice for the entire episode (no joke, there was nary an eye roll between the two divas), which left ample time for some truly impressive auditions.
