Shakira To Close World Cup With Official FIFA Anthem
Shakira
Shakira will close the 2010 soccer World Cup in style on Sunday when she takes to the stage in South Africa to perform the official anthem, Waka Waka (This Time For Africa).
The Colombian star headlined the opening ceremony in Soweto last month, kicking off the soccer tournament by singing the track with local group FreshlyGround.  And she will bring the sporting event to a close in a similar fashion - although organizers promise Sunday night's celebrations will be more of a spectacle to watch.
Jermaine Craig, spokesman for the South African organizing committee, says, "(It will be) more youthful and a bit more technologically advanced (with) nice lighting effects and special effects planned."
The closing ceremony will begin at 6.30pm local time, two hours before the big final takes place at Soccer City. The Netherlands will find out who they will face later on Wednesday, when Germany takes on Spain in the only remaining semi-final match.

Serena Williams Talks About Breakup With Common
Tennis champ Serena Williams has broken her silence about her romance with Common, blaming the rapper/actor for the break-up of their relationship.  The couple was rumored to have ended its two-year relationship in April and the hip-hop star recently confirmed he was no longer dating Williams by insisting he was "definitely single." The sporting ace has been quiet about the break-up since the news surfaced but she has opened up about the failed romance in a new interview with Harper's Bazaar magazine.
Williams admits their busy careers often got in the way of spending time together, but claims it was Common who refused to put in the extra effort to make their relationship work.
She tells the magazine, "His schedule is actually worse than mine. He didn't want the responsibility. It's really tough."
